Very Sad Day - Jerry Springer Passes Away at 79

One time when we were living in Chicago my wife and I went to a taping of the Jerry Springer show. It was about love triangles, and the “lesson” of the show was how when a man cheats, the woman has to think about why she was driving him away. We sat in the front row, and it was so cringeworthy that I just kept looking down at the floor. Every time you could see me on tv I was just looking down lol. It was fun when he got the crowd to start chanting “Waffle House *****” though.

I used to feel bad about the people on it when it first came out, then after a few years I realized it was fake since no rational person could go on the show and seem surprised that something stupid happened.

^^This^^. The problem is, for a certain segment of the population, they didn't realize this and it normalized the stupid antics.

I'm not going to mourn his passing or look back fondly on what he started.

This is so funny because it’s a full two minute scene. I feel like most movies would’ve had that as just a quick ten second laugh.
That whole movie holds up really well. All of them do. I rewatched them in the last couple years. Still funny as hell.
