I have friends that live on the block of hunt st and the cops came and knocked on every single door to tell them that party will not happen. Expressed saftey concerns and what not. They also handed out a press release from the City of Ames.

When they said they were going to the city to try and get barriers I knew this would happen. Don't they know how the riots started?

I would warn the Ames PD to not try and intervene too much. That is exactly how the riots started the last time. Hunt St. is going to be a hopping place Friday night. Hope it stays trouble free.

I live on Wood Street and they knocked on a lot of doors also reminding us about noise ordinance and alcohol ordinance and laws and stuff. Must be a city wide thing.
