Updates on the 16-17 hoops schedule

UNI was/is a good team. ******* get over it and get this thread back to the ISU talk.
Has the Mizzou defection hurt mellowed by now to get a series going?
I really enjoyed the Michigan home and home and they weren't afraid to play around Hilton like tOSU.

Total guess here, but Missouri is probably more possible to get with Big 12/SEC than a home-and-away. Would make sense from regional standpoint and at least it has some series history.

Funny how, at least recently, playing Missouri wouldn't have helped ISU's resume. I wonder if Mizzou will climb out of the depths any time soon.

So, as of now, 7 dates are set:

Nov. 24-27 Advocare Invitational (Florida, Gonzaga, Indiana State, Miami, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Stanford)
Dec. 1 Cincinnati
Dec. 8 at Iowa
Dec. 17(?) vs. Drake
Jan. 28 at Vanderbilt (Big 12/SEC)

So, either 5 or 6 slots left to fill (depending on 30 or 31 games). I think Big 4 date would be correct.

I'm curious who ISU draws in quarterfinal of Advocare.

Prohm has said he expects ISU to only play 30.

Missouri just lost their A.D. to, cough, Baylor. That's how bad things have gotten in COMO.

December 8th. Just kick the crap out of the Hawks on their home court and I'll be a happy man.

Not that exciting (as expected). Hopefully, the young guys can get some experience.

Also, pretty cool that Naz will get to play against his younger brother!

That game against The Citadel will be really fun. I mean, we should pound them (they are pretty bad), but their coach (Duggar Baucom, who was at VMI before The Citadel) has them play at by far the fastest tempo in Division 1. Think Grinnell-lite - jack up tons of threes and run up and down the court.

Text version for thread purposes

Nov 6 Sioux Falls (exhibition)
Nov 11 Savannah State
Nov 14 Mount St. Mary’s
Nov 20 The Citadel
Nov 24 vs Indiana State (Advocare Invitational)
Nov 25 vs Miami/Stanford (Advocare Invitational)
Nov 27 vs Gonzaga/Quinnipiac/Florida/Seton Hall (Advocare Invitational)
Dec 1 Cincinnati
Dec 5 Omaha
Dec 8 at Iowa
Dec 17 vs. Drake (Hy-Vee Classic)
Dec 20 Mississippi Valley State
Jan 28 at Vanderbilt

Schedule-wise, the tournament field, Cincy, Iowa and Vandy supply some meat. The remainder: Mostly a sub-200 RPI-fest.

Did they not want any road games? Iowa and vandy we can't control so it's disappointing to see nothing but home weaklings
