Modern Piping isn’t hurting for $$ either, especially with their recent acquisitions. This will play out for some time I’m sure. A lot of things aren’t adding up here and there’s pretty good chance the original decision will be set aside.

Iowa doesn't think they owe all the money so they are pursuing appeals. I don't understand the indignation. If they lose all the way up, they will pay the money.

Seems like a lawyerly thing to do - "let's string this out as long as possible and hope the plaintiff runs out of money or will. In the meantime, let's generate some emotional capital between the university and the hospital so that just in case it goes before a jury, they'll have a hard time finding 12 reasonable Iowans."

No jury, arbitrators have already ruled and UI is appealing.

I wish I could have a contractor build me a brand new house, in the middle of construction have the contractor change everything we agreed to have built, and then once the house is completed tell the contractor we don't owe them anything for all the changes we demanded them make.
