Hey, were you on a flight to Denver at the end of February and did you keep saying loudly, "PRIORITY!"?
A 5 yo and a 2 yo. One or both of them could pick up the popcorn. My 2 yo is perfectly capable of cleaning up his messes (he doesn't always do it, but he can). This pitcher and his wife are being entitled whiners.
Wait a second, I’ve never been told to take off my headphones, have them on the moment I take my seat. Is this a real thing?
They pretty much let you watch movies when you sit down these days.. I think the issue is that for onboard systems they can override when safety announcement comes on .

I will always pick up around the kids at a restaurant if they make messes. I’m also the person that will collect and stack plates if we’re out with the family.
I would classify this person in the same bucket as litterers and I also think those people are pieces of ****.

Pick up after your kids. We would go out to eat with our kids quite a bit when they were really young, mainly because they were amazingly well behaved. But, they always made a mess. My wife and I would split the duty, I'd take care of the floor and my wife would clean the table, then we'd each attack a seat if we were in a booth. Hell, even before we had kids, I'd usually at least wipe down the table after I ate.
We always pick up as much a possible and leave a good tip when eating with our kids. Each of my sons spilled about a half a bag of popcorn the last time at the theater. We picked up as much as we could in the dark feeling around on that sticky ass ground.

We just took a 3 year old and a one year old on an international flight. We took the time to clean up. But I admit there was two of us, and no pregnancy involved.

It was on my flight for vacation over thanksgiving. I put my earbuds in, started listening to music and the lady asked me to turn it off until the announcements were over.
No, their main job is to tell me my seat is an 1/8" reclined when we're preparing to land. I never recline my seat.
Alright people, time to chime in on an online debate.
So to summarize, forgettable MLB pitcher takes to Twitter to slam United for making his 5 month pregnant wife pick up some popcorn his kids spilled during the flight. Said pregnant wife's marginally famous sister-in-law also chimed in. It's led to a decent debate on social media about picking up after your kids.
I'm always mortified by the mess my kids leave when are in public. I make them pick it up to the extent we are able without a broom, vacuum, etc. and will always leave a bigger than usual tip if I know they have extra to clean up. But I've seen quite a bit on social media about United being paid to clean the plane. Where do you land?

Still trying to figure out how they "made" her clean up the popcorn. Maybe asked her "Would you be so good as to clean this up a little?" Seriously, how many really rude flight attendants have you ever had confront you about anything when flying? These people are tweeting away like she was assaulted.
