Julien beat Johnson from UNI. Barely. Got taken down at the very end but ref said time went out. Schwab was not pleased. Not a lot of attacks but a ton of time spent in weird looking scrambles at times. Julien looked like the smaller guy in both matches.
Paniro is going to be a really good one. There’s going to be growing pains as he figures out the issues on bottom and matures a wrestler but his upside is enormous

Judge and Schmidt both beat McClimon; Schmidt by major

Judge I think had a slightly better ability to keep matches close vs a guy whose better than him. Therefore, in duals. That is an asset. He battled Kennedy who was clearly a guy you don’t want to let get loose on you.
Anyone know what’s going on with Schon and Greenlee? I know they are gray shirts like Paniro but why haven’t they wrestled? Same deal with Helgeson.
And why I’m asking questions, can anyone explain the rationale to gray shirt 2 guys at the same weight in the same class (Schon/Greenlee). I thought Schon was doing off injury so I get that.

Schon and Helgeson are rehabbing injuries I’m pretty sure. Doubt we see them much this year. Not sure why we haven’t seen Greenlee yet
Maybe money. If they got promised money, they may need a wrestler to graduate to free up cash. Maybe they didn’t expect Degan or Parker to return and that ate up cash.
Schon had an ACL repaired after his high school career ended I believe. I would imagine he’s not competing at all this year while working back from that.
If he is still limping, that is probably a permanent limp. Sons doctor (ISUs Warme, and his athletico physical trainer) told him if they didn’t get rid of his limp within weeks of having the brace off for day to day stuff, he would have a limp forever. He rarely limps, but others that we know that went elsewhere still do years later.
