UNI - ISU Broadcast

ISU basketball looks to be brutal for both teams. At least the women have a Big 12 POTY candidate in Carlton. But she can't do it by herself.

I don't put much stock in these in state games. Part of the problem is Bridget is trying to do too much herself. She is'not point guard.

Welp lost by 2, UNI stat tracker worked well to follow the last 4 minutes. Wonder if UNI niece will even know they beat us. She's not a big sports fan.

These in-state games against an average at best UNI team are games we should be winning. There is no excuse to lose to UNI. I don't care if we are playing in Cedar Falls, this is pathetic. It is going to be a long year when we most likely lose to two MVC teams. We all know Drake will be out to make a point against us in DSM since that will be their biggest game of the year.

As a season ticket holder, this is the first year where if I miss games I won't be disappointed.

Playing without our only senior, our main ball handler, with 3 or 4 newcomers on the floor in their 2nd game on the road. I'm usually the one upset....we spent all week seeing all over'social media high praise for our frosh, maybe a loss will do some good.

Wow.. some people need to calm down. this is what happens when we play three freshmen. We need Emily back as soon as possible. Bridget is ok at getting her own shot, but is much better if someone else can set her up. When no one else on the team can get their own shot, it lets the defense focus on Bridget.

The one freshmen that needs to play more is Kristin Scott in my opinion. however if she seals her defender off on that last shot by Bridget I bet Bridget makes it.

Scott did play 30 minutes so not sure there are a lot more minutes for her. She rebounds better that Bride so far and is going to be our leading blocker. Actually looking pretty good two games into her career, better than Kennedy-H or Burkhall, IMHO

Hadn't looked at the box score yet.. that's good she got 30 minutes. Didn't seem like it when watching live :)

Buckley - by far our best player last year - leaving early obviously hurts. Really, no one else can break down a defense, or even dribble drive.

They probably would have won if Durr could have played, but if she played and they still lost, I wonder if she would be the one getting all the blame from the coach

Disagree about Jada being the best player. I for one am excited to no longer have a point guard who every time just drove to the middle of the lane for no reason and no plan only to stop ( in the middle of a congested lane) and only then start looking for someone to pass to.

I really liked Jada, wish she could have played SG instead of PG though, but Emily seemed to be in Fennelly's dog house since she got here, so he played Jada at point.

And I still think Bridget was the best player last year.

Yes, I'm sure she would have. Not sure why but Emily is definitely NOT one of BF's favorites, she should have started all year last year.
