UNI game....

Funny, after a game like last night, everyone seems to be showing other schools a little bit more respect before we play 'em. That is the sign of a classic fan base. (Like us) The only thing I can offer is that Marcus Paige didn't play in that UNI game, and UNI also lost @ Richmond 82-67 last Saturday. Richmond is (5-3)

Go Cyclones!

A couple of things here;

1) Even without Paige in the lineup, UNC still has more talent than all but a handful of teams in college basketball. I read somewhere before the game that with the exception of walk-ons, every single player on the Tar Heels roster was a Top 100 HS recruit. Also, don't forget that UNI had to come back from a double-digit deficit in the 2nd half to win.

2) Richmond won at Wake Forest and beat a talented California team on a neutral court. They are by no means a bad team.

UNI looked terrible tonight, but The Pit is a tough place to get a road win and UNM has a pretty solid team. If we play our A game and they play theirs then we still win easily, but if we struggle and they are shooting lights out then we could be in for our first loss of the year.

Still... I'm going 81-74 good guys.

I can't imagine many Iowa fans even going to this thing. They are spending their entire life savings to go to the Rose Bowl, not watch Granny Fran crash their team into 4th place in the state.

So most of them are going to make it to what? Lincoln, NE?

UNI now (officially) next up. At the beginning of the season I wanted to see us get to 10-0 and then head to Cincinnati and see what happens. Only one obstacle left.

I thought this would be the best case scenario. I feel blessed that we could have a chance to be 10-0 going into Cincinnati. These guys need to get their game faces on, because it's time to show that were elite.

the media does a great job building the recent lack luster ISU performances as stories as the hype is too much for ISU to handle, UNI wins 84-76

UNI will beat us if we play like we have with zero physicality in one on one situations at the rim. Our guys play even shorter then they are at the rim. Its annoying. Burton I'm hopeful will change that.

UNI will be ready. Unlike Fran McCaffery, Ben Jacobsen can coach and won't lose the game for them. We have to a great game in order to win. Sloppy starts can't happen.
Color me....a little concerned. You are right about uni, and I don't think we are playing well right now.....and that is more than a APB comment. Too sloppy with the ball, too many threes, lack of defensive intensity and not running the offense through Georges enough. Need a healthy Naz too.

I usually don't say things like this but UNI plays harder against us. I hate when people say that, but it is true. I watch the majority of UNI games and they play way better against good teams. More energy and fight. That is why they usually beat good teams in the valley but will drop at least a game or 2 to bad valley teams. If we play like we have the last 2 games against them we will lose this game. If we play our best we will win by 25.

UNI has good guard play but I'm not sure UNI can score inside on us. I see this being a 8-12 point win unless they go unconscious from 3.
