Unbelievable Non-Death? Situation

I believe DND would be the appropriate response here

There was a speaker at one of the 4h conferences that was in a nasty accident as a result of drunk driving. His friend was killed and he was believed to be dead. That is until he moaned as the mortician was about to drain him of his bodily fluids.

I don't know why I remember so much of the story but I recall he said between the two of them they made one sober person so they decided to drive home. Driving down the middle of the road they met a car on an overpass, over corrected, and drove off the overpass.

"KCCI spoke with that facility's manager, who would not confirm any involvement."
*Former manager, lol

Hopefully due to the unique nature of this story more details will emerge. I'm curious when she left the facility (as I see the call from funeral home was 8:30 AM)

HOPEFULLY it was after morning rotations the facility thought she'd passed, took her to the funeral home, then shortly after they found a pulse, etc. (Not a situation where she was left at a funeral home longer, etc)

I am imagining every other family with a loved one at that facility is feeling less comfortable about having them there today.

Depends on how close they were and how long they've been waiting for that inheritance. Might actually drum up some new business for them.

Not sure if this was posted yet… But what a story. I’d like to see all the details here.

I’m sure those not in the field think there is no way this could happen. But, at the end of life, agonal respirations can be only 1 or 2 a minute and very shallow. Pulse can be non-existent except by electrode detection, and they can be pale, pupils dilated, etc. I’m not saying this stuff should happen, but I’ve seen more than a few people that looked dead but weren’t quite yet. We had a saying that the longer you wait to pronounce them, the more sure you could be.
