When the name Jim Calhoun is mentioned the first thing I think of is "NCAA Violations". Strangely the same thing happens anytime the name Calipari comes up as well.

Calhoun had to sit out 3 games this year due to recruiting violations concerning Nate Miles, assistant coaches exceed text message and phone contacts..

Due you know of another "probation" that JC has been hit with??

Other than the APR issue Uconn currently faces the program has never been on "probation" or anything like that..

Can you remind me of these multiple Probations that you post seems to allude to.

I think of Coach K more than Calhoun, although he is probably somewhere in that list.

In fact I would think of geno auriemma before jc. I think of uconn as a women's basketball school. Also not meant as a diss as at least you're thought of unlike ISU.

I must admit when I think of College Basketball I think ACC, Big Ten, Big East, UK, Arizona, a little KU,, for most of us we didn't even realize ISU played BBall,,

You're not alone, as is evidenced by the media's infatuation with those conferences or schools. Generally, I will agree that CBB is ruled by the big east, and the ACC is usually a two-headed monster.

If I read this link correctly, it tells me the big 12 has the 2nd most NBA players per conference team. Much better than most east coast bias gives it credit for.

Up until 2 years ago Uconn had more then Duke or any other School,, Very comfortable that Uconn is 7th

Not sure about Bias for instance every year Texas seems to have talent to make a big run in March,, but never seems to, underachieves,

I get the Big East is overrated stuff, I used to watch Pitt battle Uconn every year, then I'ld pick them in my Brackett and they would ALWAYS lose early..

Syracuse same thing..

Point is though Uconn usually does great in Tourney.

The most noteable player to ever come out of UCONN is Rebecca Lobo.

But how could you, Bristol is like, what, 45 minutes from Storrs. ESPN is too busy enjoying the smell of their own farts to cover anyone west of Pennsylvania.
