Uconn V ISU Thoughts

First,,, I hope its a great game, where each team plays well,,,,

I have no Idea if Babb can cover JL,, as always so much depends on Officiating etc if Babb gets called early whether deserved or not,,,, sometimes we do not get JL involved early on... So who knows,,, I do know that most of the times Jim C and Uconn wins these types of games thats just our history,,, this year has been very inconsistent,,,,
But if we assume the two teams are relatively evenly matched then I'ld give Calhoun the edge,,,,, But then again I'm a Uconn fan...:smile:
 
What's up with all of the ,,,,'s and ....'s? haha JK, but seriously.

I think if ISU is hot from 3 pt range, we win. Otherwise, nope.

Good,,,analysis...I actually agree with..,,,your thoughts on Babb.. It will be interesting to see,,,
 
If we're shooting well from 3, we win. If we aren't hitting our shots or not getting decent looks, UConn wins.

Pretty much sums up how we win or lose.

CH and the guys are mad about there early loss in the big 12.If UConn is not at the very top of there game ISU WILL win this. end of story, bring on Kentucky... ouch.
 
Honestly I hope UConn plays like crap. Any way we can get a win would be great by me.

,,,, just tired,, my way of saying and so forth

i'm not sure about your statement "if ISU is hot from 3 we win",,, first if any team is hoot from 3 they stand a damn good chance of winning,,,,

In order to beat Uconn, assuming they play reasonably well, you have to play good post defense,,,, I would be interested in your thoughts on the inside match ups

Btw I'm interested in a thoughtful discussion from guys that know ISU not the "you guys s**k" blah blah blah.

We are a very good 3 pt shooting team. That is how we win. It is pretty much guaranteed that if you can stop our 3 point shooting you win, and if not, we're tough to beat.
 
I'm really excited for the matchup...even if it's a tough draw, it'll be fun to play a big-name team. Should be some good exposure, especially when we win :wink:

I think you're underestimating our 3pt shooting ability.
We can be down by 15 and then up by 5 in the blink of an eye. We have 5 guys that can drain the 3 ball pretty well.
If our treys aren't falling, we probably won't win.

Our post defense is sketchy, we'll obviously have to get your bigs in foul trouble.
I think White will also pose some match up problems when he brings the ball up the floor (which is quite often).
 
Alex Oriakhi went to Tilton Prep School, same school Georges Niang is playing at this year. Just a random Did you Know tidbit.
 
Some interesting matchups. I don't know if Scotty can check Napier, but who else is he going to guard? I don't think UCONN's bigs can check Royce. Maybe we should use a junk defense, box in one on Lamb and take our chances with Napier and the others shooting three's? Can't wait, should be fun.
