UConn - Mich St.

I hope MSU is enjoying an elite 8 game on someone else's home court.

So silly that UCONN gets home games as the 7th seed. I don't think you should even get a chance of that unless you're a 4 or lower seed.

I don't see the problem, or at least why a 4 or lower seed should get that advantage. Theoretically, they're not supposed to be there at all.

Yeah, this is supposed to be the home court for Villanova, but they sucked, so UConn earned the bonus so to speak.

They plan these sites years in advance. They can't keep any team within 200 miles of the regional site out of the region. If the game had been played in KC or Minneapolis Friday night, you would have been all for it

Yeah, because we are the home team. Just like at msg. The lower seed.

This was Villanova's "home court." They blew it, so UConn benefits. It sucks, but it isn't like the committee set up UConn for this (mostly).

Oh for sure - but that's the point. They should prioritize seeding the higher seeds closer to home, and put the lower seeds in random regions. I understand why they do it this way, as it increases the income of the event with more tickets sold, but just think the fact that they get to play at home negates the purpose of seeding. No tin foil hat here...it's just a shame that we couldn't play closer to home and not in the lower seed's backyard.
