This guy needs to get drafted just so he can go to the all star game and show these fools in the "association" want a dunk contest is really about.
 
I love the hoop cam showing the concentration and calmness on his face...then he just asplodes into the rim like a car crash.
 
New rule for dunk contests: call traveling, out of bounds, and eliminate props. If these guys practiced dunks that could be used in the games then maybe we'll see fewer missed ones. What they're doing nowadays isn't at all relevant to basketball.

Agree. The NBA has turned into, "how can I make an extra buck by having one of my advertiser's logo/product be used in the dunk?"

That's a bad idea. Talk about boring.. The whole point of a dunk contest is to see the creativity and just how freaky athletic these guys actually are when they have the chance to be. Might not be relevant to the game of basketball at all but if they were to do what you suggest, they might as well just play a game of basketball.

I think you completely missed the point of having a dunk contest.

For sure....or it's really become...."still be super excited and cheer for a mediocre dunk that took 5-7 misses to complete."

They need to be dunking into a peach basket instead of these new-fangled rims. And it should be a lay up contest. No dunks allowed.

you do realize that would eliminate lebron, micheal jordan, dominique wilkins, and dr.j right? those 4 are probably top 10 in greatest dunkers to see an nba floor
