Tyrese Hunter PG '21 - Committed!

I mean he doesn't have to be 6'3 or 6'5 to be good enough to leave early. If he is good enough they will want him.
Absolutely if he is good enough they will take him. But just like everything else height comes into it. If he is short and not able to guard the height in the NBA - or perceived that he won't be able to - then that just becomes another thing to overcome. That means that the rest of his game has to be that much better to overcome shortcomings (no pun intended) in that area.

4 out of 9 point guards drafted to the NBA last year were 6'1 or shorter.
Darius Garland was a lottery pick out of Vanderbilt after 1 season.

Obviously Hunter would not be too small to be a 1 and done player.
More difficult? Sure. But I'd love to see him do it.

I'd prefer he do it the standard Tyrese from Wisconsin way, but that's just me.

I would prefer to love to see him in a Cyclone uniform for more than one year; however, if he earns the opportunity to leave early, then so be it.

It is for a PG when the comment was about leaving early (1 and done) for the NBA.

Chris Paul is 6' 1". Hunter's definitely more than athletic enough. If he lacks for outside shooting, that might keep him out. Premature talk at this point, he hasn't even played a college game yet.

I think you should have said Chris Paul is “listed at 6’1”. I believe the stated NBA average for PGs is 6’2.5”, so ~ half are shorter than that. With the athleticism Hunter has, his height won’t be a limiting factor. He has a good off the bounce game and can pass. If his shot is serviceable he could be a great Cyclone and I am excited to watch him develop.

Where did lindell wind up?
Iowa Wolves, he also participated in the Minnesota T Wolves bubble in market training camp thing they had so it’s possible he ends up on their roster or on a two way for them this season.
