Was at UT game tonight. I can't get it to post but the cover of the program says "culture" and tyrese is on the cover sitting in a chair spinning a basketball on his finger.

1. He looks way better. Still will struggle around the rim though. Really odd to see him in a Texas uniform.
2. UT new home court is borderline transformational vs their old gym.
3. Zags play zero defense. They don't even try.
4. Rasir guarded Tyrese for a bit. Odd feeling there.
5. Pretty sure Texas still has the same old bricklayers they always have and they will struggle on the road, again, zags d in person is woeful. Almost shocking to me how much they dog it defensively,

Nothing says “culture” like quiting on your team.

Texas looks legit and Hunter looks improved. If he keeps playing like this he could be a late first rounder.

The butt hurt about Tyrese leaving is hilarious, as if nobody switches JOBS FOR BETTER PAY. Do I wish he’s still here absolutely he’s damn good, but can’t blame him especially if he’s putting some money in his pocket and if Iowa state couldn’t provide that then it’s Iowa state’s problem just like if a company can’t retain you cause another company offers better pay/benefits.

We really need to get over the butthurt.

Belittling his character or play is just silly. He’s a stud, we’d be much better with him, he made a reasonable choice and we don’t have to like it.

I hope we kick their butts, but outside of our games, I’m not rooting against Hunter.

Let’s move on.

I could be wrong, but most people I talk too got over him leaving because he made a wise decision for himself and his life.

What they are ruffled with is how much he started disparaging Ames and such as it was all unfolding and after he made the move to Texas.

That part was strange and off putting/unnecessary especially since from all accounts TJ and co. were completely understanding, so if people want to be rankled by that, I’m not going to hold that against them.

But from a pure decision standpoint, who cares? He made a move he thought was best.

He’s shown his character since being at Texas.

As has been said what makes college sports great for many people is the idea that it is about the competition and not money. You can argue that is a naive view especially now but you have to understand where people come from.

Tyrese has shown extremely poor judgement since transferring to Texas. No Cyclone should feel remotely bad for cheering against him because of his actions. He has brought all of it upon himself and deserves all of the hate.

He didn’t leave for better pay, though. He said money played no factor.
