I have no feelings for Goodson one way or the other, but this is something he should do. Hall should do the same. A bowl game is an exhibition game and these guys want to protect themselves for the pros. They should protect themselves for the pros.
That team and that offense really needs that player to move the chains. Tough thing to overcome in the bowl.
If Breece sits out I think we can still create some stuff slinging it. I have no idea how I'd coach that offense in the state they're in without the far and away best playmaker they have.

I'm not arguing that they should or shouldn't play, but quit calling it an exhibition. You could probably make a better case years ago when the stats didn't count. But the win counts as a season win and the stats count both for the teams and the players. It counts just as much as every other non-conference game.
It didn't even occur to me that might. Maybe the NFL scouts have him higher than I would think, but this seems like post-draft signing to me.
