I'd kind have forgotten about basketball season until season tickets showed up in the mail Friday. Then the *** kicking in Stillwater made me long for basketball season. :sad:

Hoiberg doesn't recruit, players line up to come here. He hibernates during the offseason.

He just sends a mailer out to every recruit in the nation saying "*****, I'm Fred Hoiberg". The pieces just sort of fall into place from there.

Still do. I grew up watching Cyclone sports when we had Jim Walden in football and CFH, Julo, Loren Meyer, and Jacy Holloway playing roundball. Even if we went 12-0 in football, I await the start of college basketball like a kid on Christmas morning.

I've been excited since the loss to Kensucky. I absolutely love college bball season. Iowa State finally being a perennial contender is like icing on the cake.

Not that it's about me, but it is! It is two weeks and four days until I attend my first game at Hilton. The last time I was in there was in March 2011 and it was under contruction so I have never even been there when the floor was down. Looking forward to my first clone cone. I won't be going to the exhibition games but I will be going to EVERY game in November. I CAN'T WAIT!
