Two More Hawkeye Suspensions Looming?

doesn't seem odd....I might be remembering the 1st incident incorrectly though. Thought it was a grade thing.

Why does it matter what strike 1 is? If strike 1 is drinking and strike 2 is drugs you just pretend the 1st strike doesn't count since it's different?

no....depends on what 1 is....in your scenario I'd expect a multi-game suspension.

If 1 is not hitting the mark grades wise I have no problem with a 1 game suspension.

One would think grades would be much more important, given that if the NCAA were to discover bad grades, a player could be ineligible for an entire season...

Separating grades and behavior also just seems like lowering responsibility. Either do what you're supposed to do, or don't -- no sense in categorizing it all.

It's ironic because I've been told many times by Iowa fans that no player is above the program but categorizing behavior seems to contradict that.

Of course it does....maybe not to you.

So your starting OT had to miss a bowl game for academics and now is going to get suspended again and he should only have to miss 1 game for leaving his teammates high and dry like that? How does that make sense besides you just don't want to lose to ISU so you're justifying it

I can see Iowa losing to NIU. I really do not want that to happen.
