Two missing girls

Interesting headline considering nowhere in the article does it talk about officers swarming lake.

A good chance the police tape is going up around it just to keep people from going into where there was once water

NO DIVING!

Starting to look like they are in the lake.

I don't know about that. With as many people that are in the area watching the lake right now I would think the news would be out right away if they find them there.

Well the lake isn't completely drained right now, but apparently the dog picked up some sent which is weird that the officer said they were pleased. Maybe they were pleased that they might be able to bring closure.

You would think they would have found their shoes on shore if they went swimming. Unless one fell in.

It seems weird that both would have drowned in the lake. Plus I would think someone would have saw them in the lake.

That trail is pretty close to highway 20 as you can see in the street view pics.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. One fell in and the other tried to help and couldn't. We'll hope for the best, but it's not looking good at this point.

I couldnt imagine someone dragging two kids over the fence and throwing them in to a vehicle during the day. That is a busy highway and someone would have seen something.

I agree, and that is why I think they must either be in the lake or they wandered off into the woods or something.

I believe there was a report today that there was a guy who saw them a mile or so away between noon and 3:30. I don't think the fact that they found the bike's so close to the lake necessarily means they would have been abducted by the lake.

if they were in the woods, someone would have found them by now.

this is just a wierd situation, hopefully they come home safe.

Not a lot of woods on that side of the Highway to even wander through without hearing civilization. And if they did ditch the bikes and purse before wandering to the river, it still isn't a dense forest.

This is still messy.

kcci.com at it's finest.

Actually, I bet that happens more often than not. One goes in and starts struggling. The other goes in to help and gets pulled under by the first.

By pleased I hope that means that the dogs led them away from the lake. While this doesn't mean they will be found alive, just knowing they didn't drown may keep hope for the family.

I hate to look in the direction of the family when they are going through so much, but publicly available information seems to suggest one of the dads is of extremely questionable character.
