TV Schedule

So, does this mean Mediacom won't broadcast any games? I would hope they can at least get a few, since I won't be at any of the games in person. I know, I should buy season tickets. But, unfortunately, that isn't my choice to make:sad9cd:

For live broadcasts, Kent State will be Mediacom's only potential game. Everything else is on a Saturday, and falls under the network pecking order. Unfortunately, the options if the networks don't select ISU are slim and none.

I think the Toledo game can be on Mediacom since it is a non conference away game.

Toledo and the MAC will have the rights, and who knows what their TV contract says.

Mediacom COULD do the game, assuming there aren't MAC hoops to jump through. Plus, due to costs, they'd likely have to make production arrangements with a company based in Toledo unless Toledo is already doing a local broadcast that Mediacom can pick up. In that case, you'll have a UT broadcast team.

Is it all possible? Yes.
Is it probable? No.

So think about this. So if I was Craig Brackins parents and wanted to see ALL the games (not just the espn, abc and gameplan games) all I would have to do is get someone from Ames to get me a satalite and then I could get the local channels which would get me every single ISU game that wasn't on ABC, ESPN, FSN???
Why couldn't the dish guys just charge you $5-10 more to get another zip code feed? This is what I hate about business, We have more than enough technology to get every single football game on tv almost to the highschool level and we don't because of contracts and money. So basically you have to be in the big 10. Totally uncalled for if you think about it.

OK, thanks guys. Just wish there would be more games on TV. Well...there is always the radio.

Maybe Pollard will need to resort to creative scheduling, moving dates and times, to allow more TV coverage. This might be needed until we gain recognition. We've previously had quite a few night games, some Thursday games, and a Friday game to work around the broadcasting issues.

Unfortunately, not everyone lives next door to JTS. I'm 3.5 hours away and have only managed to attend 2 games each year lately. For long range clones, radio might be the only option. There are also video replays on mediacom (television) and clone zone (internet).
