Am I daft or is this what a turn-around year looks like? I'm old enough to remember when Earle Bruce turned the program around in the 70's, and it looked and felt like this when it occurred... confidence, fan support, rage for revenge, tears of pride, noise. Are we there? My emotions may have put my reason on hold, but I think we're in good shape, the best we've been in years.

That's enough for me to know things are heading in a positive direction.
Sounds like I'm a bit like you. Alot of heartache over the past 20 years of being an ISU fan. Built up a few defense mechanisms along the way. Don't expect alot, don't get let down.
Those post game videos, the FSN interview and the welcome home vids really bring out alot of pride in this program.

Johnny Majors got the program turned around. Earle Bruce got it restarted, none of those teams in the mid 70s (73'-75) were bad, just mediocre at best and probably underperformed.
