It was reported he tore his meniscus in the pre game warm up? Can anybody confirm? If so, he is likely done for the year.

On the radio JW said that he has been fighting this all year. I think he was resting today and mat be available next week.

Sent from my obsolete 3GS iPhone.

Didn't he hurt his knee in high school too and that's why he grayshirted? Hopefully he comes through this.

Torn meniscus isn't that bad. Scope and some PT and then take the spike the rest of the year

I tore my meniscus in high school. I also continued to run track, play volleyball, and then basketball before I had surgery 10 months later (my small-town doc was clueless until you could no longer see my kneecap). A torn meniscus does suck and will eventually likely require surgery, but he may still be able to play this season.

Heard he was going in on Monday to have his meniscus repaired on one of his knees anyway. Now that he has both knee issues who knows what they will do on Monday. He will be missed if he is out. He has been really steady this year. I do like what I see from Jacob Gannon in the last few games. He will get better and better each game on out.

Ahhh. I meniscus repair takes a lot more healing time than just a removal of the torn area. With a repair, they try to suture the cartilage back together, but it takes time to heal since cartilage doesn't have a good blood supply. If this is the case, while I'm no MD, he's probably done for the season.

Bummer.
