The Cyclones did not dominate as much as I expected. We were clearly the superior team talent-wise and athletically. However, we gave them a lot of points, for example with far too many service errors, and some sloppy play. But I was most impressed by the tenaciousness of the women; they were there to win and adversity would not get in the way. Set 2 was the perfect example. Nolan was great at libero and Schaben is a winner, in every sense of the word. Lazard and Conaway are progressing really nicely and Kurht is showing the same stuff she displayed at the end of last year. Ciara had her moments, but clearly CJL wants her to work her way through frustrations.

As I left Hilton, I was wondering how can CJL recruit when she has such a strong roster and so few seniors.

Bowman has not been at the last two home games. Did I miss something? Hurt or no longer with the team?

Did not see, thanks for the update. A win is still a win, hope they continue to improve.

Hmmm... she was at the UNI match. Doesn't appear she was in a practice photo tweeted this past week either.

After the match against the Huskers this was in the Daily:

Freshman setter Remi Bowman was not suited up or even on the bench for the match against Nebraska.

Head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said she was under the weather with a sickness and the coaching staff gave her the day off to get better for practice next week.

She may qualify for a redshirt now. Athletes who miss the season due to mono have been granted a redshirt, and she only played one match, so she may be ahead of the deadline.
