TTtrap game?

Tarp game? No, that's @ Baylor.

And Iowa and @ West Virginia!

I see where ISU is favored by 10.5 over TT this weekend. That makes it 10 games as a favorite this year! Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

Beat Tech!
Let's Go State!

Let's just hope we get a comfortable lead and coast for the rest of the game. I would love an easy W, but I'm not counting on it.

heck yes its a trap game, somewhat similar to WVU. So while I am not quite as nervous as before the WVU game - I'm slightly nervous because its the week before OU, the week after dismantling Texas and securing a bowl facing a team that is technically without a head coach or at least without the head coach they started the season with.

And Lubbock is a weird place to play. I think we'll win and probably by 10+ but the early part of the game I am worried about a little bit of lag and then turn it on later to win.

This is technically the definition of a trap game, but that doesn't mean anything. If we play like we did last week we win by a similar margin and this team knows it has to win out to have a chance at playing in Dallas.

I'm still personnaly upset we let the huge year slide out of our grasp, especially the Iowa game, but I agree. This team has a lot to play for still and will give it 100% for all their teammates who decided to forego their careers and lives to try and do something special.

Totally agree. It's frustrating to me that a team with this kind of talent let some of these games get away. Arguably our best QB ever, top 2 RB ever, best TE ever, all time sack leader at DE, possibly our best LB ever, probably two top 10 Safeties ever. Lose to an average iowa team without an offense, don't show up for first half of Baylor, go through the motions at WV. This team should have won all three of those games. Our OL has not lived up to the hype despite bringing back all 5 starters. And, they've not found a CB to play opposite Johnson who can cover. WR play outside of Hutchinson has been spotty at best.

I'd like to say they could easily beat TT and TCU and have a 50/50 shot at OU, but would it really surprise anyone if they ended the season going 1-2? It wouldn't surprise me.

I'm just mostly concerned that it might be a trap.

Has anyone actually been to this stadium? These tortilla tossers aren't skinwalkers are they?
By definition this isn't a trap game because as a football team we aren't overlooking TT.

The Clones are 1-2 on the road, losing to Baylor & WVU. So if we lose to TT, just means we aren't a good road team.

As another poster mentioned, losing to WVU eliminates this as a trap game. Now if we had beat WVU and had a long win streaking going into the TT game, with OU up next, then TT could be a trap game.

Right. What is the “trap” here? The difference between the Cheez-It’s Bowl or the Texas Bowl?

I'm going. I walked around the stadium last Dec when we were there for my wife's graduation commencement. That trip went well - we ate at the Big Texan on the way home and she got her masters. One of her schools (she got her BS from ISU) will win, hopefully it's mine!

I've driven by the stadium few times, but never been inside. It looks like an alright place from the road.

I like most Tech fans I met. I hope they lose by 40 this weekend, but hope they win the rest of their games after.

I was thinking the same, concerned about the new coach and spark given, do we see the super try hard taco tech, who knows. Hard though with OU looming.

"Trap game" is a euphemism that needs to go away. How can it be a trap if players have heard about it for a week or more as such, a trap? Good grief.

TxT is not good. ISU will roll them.

As long as Jerry Kill is on the sideline, I'm nervous...especially when in an interim coach roll. He'll have those kids fired up and playing well. If you're not nervous, you should be.
