This is suppose to be a top 10 team. He doesn't play on a top 10 team. He wont be close to ready.

It is fine if he wants to stay, but it still doesn't mean he is ready to play.
 
Big time bummer if he leaves! Could have used his big body for the 2 years after this.
 
I'm guessing it depends on the new coach. I have no doubt he previously said he would leave if Fred does, but minds change. I'm sure the new coach will have to reach out to him and try to keep him around.
 
Will really suck if he doesn't come back. He would have played more last year at a lot of other schools. A few times last year I wish we would of thrown a 7 footer in opposed to the extra guard especially when when we couldn't buy a 3

I lot of other schools in the CBI tournament maybe. There is a reason he only saw junk minutes folks.
 
GT will not make an impact here.

I don't care if he stays or goes. If he stays I am glad that he has chosen to be a Cyclone and will be a part of the program, if he goes I hope he is able to go somewhere he can play and make an impact.
 
Not saying he would make an impact, but hope he's back considering we have two open scholarships with apparently no takers. Heck, we had enough trouble getting any bigs with Matt and Fred here and all their success. The way this coachcing search fiasco is going, who knows if we'll get anyone better than GT anyway?
 
stop being so negative about him, he is a 18 year old kid that is 7 foot tall. He needs time to develop, he has a good range on the shot, he is going to put weight on (if he stays in the states) and he seems like a good quality kid.

I hope he comes back and is able to develop into a player for the clones.

Kids not even 19 yet, what a bunch of haters. Going against McKay, Nader and Niang in practice for another year while continuing to put on muscle...with the right work ethic the sky's the limit. You can't teach 7' tall.
 
NBA scouts brought this kid to Fred's attention. its not like Pollard was vacationing in Greece and told him to come on down and give it a try. Scouts obviously like the height and seen something in him. I think its possible he could get 10 minutes a game this year. Next year who knows what he could turn into.

10 minutes a game with this team? You are crazy. I hope he develops but he hasn't shown that capability yet.
