Has there been any information on the status of Tsalmpouris now that both Fred and Matt A are gone?

No, but Clone07 (or something like that) stated a while back that Giorgos was gone if Fred was gone. From his post history he seems to have a good source.

where's Thompsonclone? He should tweet at him. Serious, we could use him back next year.

Don't count on him back. From what I heard, with Fred it was "up in the air", without Fred , or Matt A, OR his best buddy Clayton, he won't be back.

If he is the future of ISU basketball, we are in trouble.

Not what I said. We'll need big man depth and having someone who has been around our players and knows the system will be helpful to soften the blow of losing McKay, Niang, etc. in the coming years.

Not saying GT is "the future of Cyclone basketball." But he can sure find minutes and be a contributor as he develops. We will need some amazing recruiting hits to be HRs or there's no way ISU doesn't take a step back after 2015-2016. We lose a lot and Hoiberg gone leaves a lot of questions. We can still be successful if we keep talent around. I see no reason why we wouldn't want someone with GT's potential around.

I understand, but he is a huge project and has a long ways to go. I hate to see a kid ruin playing years on the end of a bench, I also hate to see ISU using a spot for a kid that is a long shot at best.

We have 2 open scholarships as is, and we probably won't fill those up at this rate. There is literally 0 downside for keeping a kid like him on the bench.
