Fantastic! Dude blocks like a Matador
He regressed big time. Not sure why. Maybe college life got to him and he didn’t train as hard. Suprised Kansas wanted him. Maybe just a depth guy.
Not a lot of sure things in the portal. Probably think they can work out the bugs in a former starter at the high major level, especially vs the alternative of taking lower level guys, or guys who were backups at a high major.
Probably play like a first team all conference player against us.
That's probably a good fit for his skill level.
Ehhh, I don't think skill is the right word there. Personally, I believe that there are plenty of guys with high level skill. The problem with a position like QB is that when you get your opportunity you HAVE to prove it on the field. There is no on-the-job training when you're a QB (unless you are a #1 draft pick in the NFL).
Chubba in my opinion (like many D1 QBs) has the skill. It's just that it hasn't played out well for him when he's had his chances.
If he couldn't get on the field at Nebraska (except via injury)...
They say the game is 90% mental and 10% physical. I'd say skill is the correct word.

Brayden Dorman transferring from Arizona after Fisch left. Only mentioning since he has Iowa State ties and we were involved in his recruitment. Doubt it's a fit now given Rocco's emergence and Kohl/Moberly behind that, but never a bad thing to have a stocked up QB room if he were interested.

That was a little different though. He played baseball before going to college. This dude started college when my daughter was 12. She is now a sophomore in college

Eli Sanders is coming here to Albuquerque. I'm gonna have to go watch some Lobos games next year.
He should be a load at that level.
