Transfer Portal Tracker

He won Elite 11 MVP, notably beating out Dante Moore, Avery Johnson, Malachi Nelson, and JJ Kohl.
Yep. Kid appears to be very legit. There was rampant speculation that he'd replace Gabriel at some point during the season some places.

Gabriel is a fine QB. Arnold has the chance if he hits his ceiling to be a difference maker. Gabriel is not a difference maker

Yup- instead of declaring early you'll see a bunch of guys come back for another year, or 2 because they can make a good amount of money/develop still.

Even in basketball, too.
Especially in women's hoops. With Russia being out of the picture for the foreseeable future college basketball will be a lot more lucrative for the creme de la creme. It's why we'll get a lovely 5th year of Clark and Juju Watkins will likely make more in her 4 years at USC than she will in her entire WNBA career.

I wouldn't take DJ U over Rocco... anyone who thinks DJ U is a top transfer target at any schools with stable QB situation has not watched much DJ U tape. Dillon Gabriel is absolutely the top guy in the portal right now and anyone saying anything different simply does not know ball.

LOL. Not even close.

Ward and Leonard, way above Gabriel.
Then probably Howard.

If Gabriel was so good, then more than teams like Miss State would be after him. And maybe he'll go somewhere else. But until that happens, no, he's no where near the top.

He's as close to the top as I am to being Brad Pitt or Leo in terms of physical appearance and bank account. And let me tell ya buddy, I ain't that close.

Dillon Gabriel is a fine college quarterback.
He's not carrying a team anywhere.
He's not lifting them higher.
And he's probably not more than a back up NFL QB.

Leonard - 1st round potential
Ward - High round potential and special athlete
DJ U - not great potential but tell you what, hes ability to run over LB's and pass well enough

Here are Gabriel stats vs the 3 highest rated teams he played

1 TD, 1 Pick vs. Okie State
0 TD, 1 Pick vs. Kansas
1 TD, 0 Pick vs. Texas

Now, he racked up stats against everyone else. But against the three best teams on OU's schedule - 2 Touchdowns, 2 picks.

That is not top tier quarterbacking. Especially with OU's offensive talent. Now he ran well on Texas and Kansas, sure.

But he is a stat padder.
Essentially he was Lance with Kilmer from Varsity Blues

I believe I saw where Colorado had 73 players transfer out last year.

I thought 20 looked rough!

What are his stats against the top three rated Big12 defenses?

Can't blame them, especially the ones who aren't a sure-fire draft pick (Gabriel).

Go get a million or two and play another year in college.
I wonder how many college QBs will be making more than Brocks base next year?

No, no he's not

1) Cam Ward
2) Riley Leonard (Notre Dame)
3) Will Howard
4) DJ U
5) Gabriel - maybe.
Gabriel is a far better college QB than DJ. In the end DJ is a sub 60% completion and 7 ypa guy. He’s played enough games where that’s just what he is. He’s always been that and he’ll always be that. And a good team can play him at QB, but he isnt a great option.

What makes Riley Leonard so special? I do not follow the ACC.
I don’t know much but he beat Clemson, Northwestern, and NC State this year. Got injured late in the year, but with Elko leaving it’s unlikely he is back. Kind of fits the Hartman mold as a former ACC player. Smart kid to go to Duke, so he seems to fit what ND would look for.
