Tradition. Do we have one?

I urge the student section to begin a new tradition of throwing baseballs onto the field after every ISU touchdown during the Cy-Hawk game.
There used to be a tradition of throwing oranges onto the field for the first touchdown of every game until we lost a game. This was meant to signify that we were on our way to the Orange Bowl. It might have been a meaningless tradition.

I'l be turning around at the end of the first quarter and waving to the donors in the press box.

One of our cherished traditions is students from visiting schools burglarize their own locker room, then call other Big 12 teams to warn them as if Iowa State had anything to do with it.

A tradition unlike any other.

There are a few that would be easy and natural to add:
  • Shout I-S-U instead of bah, bah, bah during Sweet Caroline. I've never heard anyone else customize it.
  • Stomp on the metal bleachers in the south endzone sections when the opponent is trying to score on that end. Ben Bruns says the bleachers were built to be loud. Make it the most intimidating spot in college football.

How about no more "Sweet Caroline" -- it is a Boston Red Sox thing.

Love me some Neil Diamond, but that one needs to go.

Too late. We have too much love for the song now. They may have been first, but it is hardly something they "own." We just need to tweek it a bit to be unique to us: "I-S-U" instead of "bah bah bah."

Plus, my neighbor gave me this shirt. Maybe we should sing it as "Sweet Campbell Time!"

One I'm glad they didn't try to keep going.

Was there anyone who had a good feeling about the coin?

Pretty sure it gave me the same feeling as McDermott and his introductory ISU rally saying how he was looking forward to beating Iowa some more. Something just not right about it...
