The Resume Killer thread got me thinking...how many wins would it take for you to trade the OSU game in 2011 for? Would you trade a win of that magnitude for a little more sustained success over the past couple years?

If I had to trade I'd go with at least 6 over the past few years.

I'd trade it for 2 more wins in 2012 to get to 8-4. I really think that was the year CPR needed to be better than good enough to make a bowl game and he wasn't able too. An 8 win season could have been big for recruiting that year.

None, that was a great memory that will last forever.

The OSU game is completely meaningless now. I'd trade it for pretty much anything. Hell I'd trade it to not get spanked by 70+ points on national TV.

It's kind of a silly question.

Of course people would rather have gone to bowl games the past 4 years instead of one big win, but it's dumb to obsess over it.

The OSU win was awesome. It sucks that it didn't lead to long term success, but it doesn't do anything to regret winning against OSU.

Hindsight is 20/20, but after seeing where we are now and watching the last 4 years unfold, I'll trade it for a Cyclone Basketball win over Alabama Birmingham last March.

Not this guy. Pulling a huge one off at home, night game, raucous crowd. Much better than playing football in Yankee Stadium or Memphis, TN.

The OSU win was the game that really put ISU/Rhoads on the national map, and it will be talked about for years in college football circles. Without that win, Theres no bowl game in 2011, and its quite a disappointing season.

Adding 2 more to 2012 really looks nice, but those extra wins anywhere else don't really change much with the perception of the program. They certainly don;t do jack to help us with the last 2 years.

I guess if we had those 2 wins this season, maybe I'd think differently.

Id trade for 2 bowl wins... So people cant say 6 straight losing seasons.

Google answer but if we don't beat OSU we finish 2011 at 5-7.

Somehow get to 7-6 all four of Rhoads first years sounds pretty good. That would be trading 5 wins for an OSU loss. Not sure if it'd change anything now though.

Best game in Cyclone history. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Stupid thread is stupid. /thread

The Cyclone win cost the Big 12 $$$ and didn't mean a thing for ISU. Huge win for the ISU (biggest in history) but terrible for the conference. I would love to see some conference wins this year.

I regret that it happened, because if it hadn't, we likely wouldn't have given Paul Rhoads a lengthy contract.

That win helped spawn a bowl berth for the Cyclones. Upsets are what make college sports great.

I think since we did absolutely nothing to capitalize on that win it's worth 1 win somewhere else.
