So here is how things lay out and how damaging tonight’s loss was…
if OSU wins Saturday they get the third seed regardless of what ISU does.

3 teams are tied for 3rd right now. If all 3 win it will still be the same. If all 3 lose there will be a 4 way tie for third with WV sneaking in there with OSU, BU & ISU. I don't have the time or patience to run that rabbit trail out and see which 2 get the tiebreakers and which 2 don't. What a mess in the middle.
Oddly, we're at #14 in the NET. I see us at #3 in the Big XII with a good chance to win two. If we get TT at home - a three game run could get us home court. Not discounting a possible W on Sunday in KC, but I don't think we need it.
ISU was also #14 NET on the day of the committee's last "top 16" reveal, but wasn't included.

We are nowhere near the 4th #4 NCAA seed right now. "Oddly" is right regarding our NET score. Some odd ones, like ours, out there this season for sure. It's why the NET is just a tool and not thee seeding factor.
ISU fans have always loved the league tournament but need to understand playing another team for the 3rd time isn't really going to move the needle much either way with the committee. They have 30 games to consider and a few more played back-to-back just don't matter that much compared to the full season resume unless a bubble team makes a crazy run with some quality upsets.
I think the only way ISU hosts is if they win Saturday and win the Big 12 tournament.
