Top Golf metro rumors

This doesn't replace driving ranges. I'm not going to Top Golf and spending $40 if I'm just trying to work on my game. I'll go spend $8 on a bucket of balls at West Grand.

Ok. I’ve never been to a TopGolf. Honestly don’t understand the appeal, but again…never been so I can’t really judge. I’ve never been to a Broheims’s type simulator either.

How does this impact Broheim’s (the article I read says this new place will have simulators) and/or Golf Galaxy (new place will have clubs and club fittings)?

I've never been to a Top Golf type place during cold weather seasons, so I don't know how well the heated bays work, but I would think it will impact Broheim's a lot.

I think it would be a competitor for the Broheim's of the city. My wife won't go golfing, but we've gone to the simulator out by Menards.

And I think she'd go to Top Golf as well.

yeah I agree, totally different purpose and slightly different clientele. I quit golf a few years ago in favor of other hobbies (just a time and money crunch) but when the top golf opens soon 20 minutes from me I’m going to take my wife there on a date night.
Are you sure it’s a “date night”? Sounds to me like it’s a you play date.

Think of it as a replacement for bowling, also a fun way for someone who doesn't golf to try. They have decent enough food and nice bars to so you can show up without a reservation, be told it's a hour wait and grab a meal, hang out at the bar, play pool, ping pong or yard games while you wait.

They do, I've been to the one in KC when it was in the mid 30's and it was fine.

Dan Winters is teasing a story about a major development. I'm guessing it's what JP4CY linked.

It’s weird to me that Glen Oaks residents have no issue living next to a 6 lane interstate but a golf facility that will operate from 10a-10p everyday is an injustice.

And its not like Grand Ave is a residential neighborhood. Its always been built like a highway and they shouldnt be surprised that you get busier development than a residential neighborhood off of that.

And looking at the site plan, the nearest house to the actual suite shots building is like a quarter mile away. Not exactly right in their backyards.

Shocking that some Glen Oaks d!ck hole is up in arms about this.... If you are at all familiar with the layout of the land in the area these houses won't be affected at all.
