Top 25?

The real answer to this is: who cares?

For me, I would rather never be in the top 25 b/c then that way we always play with a chip on our shoulder, we always play like we have something to prove and every opponent we play against overlooks us for another opponent.

Now back to reality though, lets just take it one game at a time, beat UCONN next and everything else will just fall into place.

Cart before horse.

It's OK to speculate. I almost prefer any ranking to come about gradually -- continue to win and pick up some votes, perhaps get into the Top 25, which would probably require going 5-0.

Rankings are good PR -- but other than that I don't even want to worry about it. I could see getting to 5-0 and in the low 20s, then going 1-6 ... I prefer any early hype wouldn't precede results. Almost better to be a little under the radar.

You never want to be ranked? So you like being mediocre and/or bad?

4_0 would get us ranked for sure I am 100 % sure of that I bet 3_0 would get us a decent amount of votes

3-0 would put us right at #25/26, I believe.

4-0 could get us anywhere from 19-23.

Either way, this team is potentially in a position to do something very impressive with their early season.

That was fun. Now time to focus on UConn.

I am very surprised to see us get two votes in the Coaches poll already this week for just being 2-0, but it appears that the AP will have no votes in store for either Iowa State or Iowa...

Does anyone have a link that shows which coaches voted for which teams? I'm fairly certain I've seen it in the past, but can't find it at the moment.

Really? Hopefully you really don't idiotically believe this!

I think it is funny that we just beat an unranked Iowa team and are already talking about being in the top 25 where we are just 2-0.

If you actually read into my post deeper, I ultimately said that we must take it one game at a time and the rest will just fall into place...
