Top 10 ISU Stories for the Year?

I am going to talk about this today, and I have my list...I just want to make sure that I am touching on all of the bases.

In your eyes, what are the top 5 or 6 stories, ISU related, for last year? Lucca being denied, ISU Wrestling #2 at Nationals and winning B12, that sort of thing.
 
Gotta give a little love to women's VB for making a good showing in the tournament this year.

Mike Taylor - not a good story, but a big one.
 
Volleyball's run in the tournament...

Mallory Snyder in the Swimsuit issue...

Renovation projects...

BACK to the old colors....

T. J. Bohn's first MLB home run :wink:
 
record season tickets for: FB, MBB and WBB.

attendance at WBB.

master plan approval.

Shaggy never having to buy a beer in this state ever again!

TB and BM record setting careers.

EDIT: just for Jon... we don't need no stinkin' touchdowns to beat down the hawks. :)

I know what could be a top ten story:

One of the biggest Hawkeye fans, and central Iowa sports personality, Jon Miller, sees the error of his ways and converts to a Cyclone fan at center court of the Texas Southern-ISU MBB game.

Jon, there's still time.

I heard he was considering coming out of the Clone closet at an Iowa MBB game but he was afraid both people in the stands would throw stuff at him:laugh:

2. Season tickets only for Iowa Game
3. Wrestling winning BIG XII
4. Lucca Stituation
5. McDermott results of McDermott first season
6. Mike Taylor kicked off the team/other players leaving coming in
7. Iowa State beating Iowa football-after all the junk Iowa talked in the days weeks leading up to the game. Then leave with their tails between their legs.
8. ISU winning CY-HAWK Series
9. Football Uniforms
10. Womens Volleyball

Cael's first year. Women make 2nd round in the NCAA. Pollard being able to have HUGE fan excitement despite mediocre teams.
 
Just my humble opinion but for the way things looked going into the Iowa game (Iowa with 2 "quality" victories and us getting beat by crappy teams) and how it happened, I'd say the victory over Iowa in fb has to be the #1 story by quite a bit doesn't it?? It's been a down year so even though it wasn't a historically great win, it was a great win/story for this year.

And see, I was just being facetious with it...
 
No offense, but I hope that a bad ISU football team beating a bad Iowa football team is NOT the biggest story of the year. That doens't speak well of us if it is.
