Today's Lesson

Is that the way the contract is written for 2013?

Yeah, the stipulation that the visiting team gets 1/5 of the gate is gone after the 2012 game.

So like I said, ISU gets the benefit of getting a last payday from Iowa, and then gets to keep the entire gate the next year.

Sounds fair to me. I don't think either team is going to lose much revenue in the greater scheme of things. I suspect Jack Trice will have more seats by 2012 and if not, they can easily get away with charging more for those tickets.

I still would like to see this series end. I just think it brings out the worst in both fan bases. We're calm relative to some other rivalries(I think because Midwestern people are more reserved and have more common sense), but still I don't like it.

Hawkeye Report. It's more or less a good place to avoid, but every once in awhile, you can find a precious gem like this one.

So it's a good place to avoid yet you have thousands of posts over there???????

Anyone that posts or reads the Rivals board on that site has a few screws loose. There's a reason only a few Iowa and ISU fans post there. Both sides should be embarrassed by EVERY poster on that forum. Avoid it at all costs unless you enjoy getting dumber.

You know I like you.. You're a good egg for a Hawk...

I'm just a mindless wooden marionette, and even I know to stay the hell away from the Rivals sites. Nothing but lunatics, crackpots, wingnuts, birthers and slack-jawed feces-hurling imbiciles haunt those barren wastes. I lurked around there for about one afternoon; that was more than enough.
