He’d looked real bad his last few public appearances. Very sad, went to his concert at the State Fair 4-5 years ago and it was a good time. Seems like a real fun time.
I think he was on the sideline our last game down in Norman. He looked like hell.
He looked really thin body, especially face.
Just didn't look like himself.
This sucks. Same cancer that took my dad at 61.

Was a huge fan of his as a kid. Came to our county fair one year. Great show. Not a great way to start my day.
I had a Toby Keith phase a long time ago, I think everyone growing up in rural America at the same time I was did.
Been awhile since I've seen him but I hadn't heard that he was doing that bad again.

He was absolutely killing it post 9/11. He really leaned into the pro-America stance and people latched on. I'm not a country guy, but even I was a fan of a lot of his music in the 2000's. Seemed like a good dude, too.
It's best to not to engage people that feel the need to dance on the grave of others due to political views.
