Have to agree. It shouldn't of been 4th down regardless, but we should of gone for it.

People will blame that 4th down call for the loss but there was plenty of opportunities for this team to win after that. We'll see what kind of winning culture we have or what team unity there is. It's going to be tough for the offense to look at the defense in the eye after this.

Where do we go from here bc it isn't going to get any easier?

Totally agree. We convert that and punch it in and this game is a diff game IMO

How many of us thought we would be saying that this year (D carrying the offense). Just completely dispiriting that this school can't field a servicable offense. Lazzard is a beast, but no help from anyone else.

Anyone who blames the loss on that play is dumb. We had our chances. Next week is so big...lose and the season is essentially over, IMO. Win, and there is still a glimmer of promise.

I think so too. Even Toledo now looks like a very hard game. If Iowa plays like they did in the second half minus the fumble can beat anyone on the schedule.
 
It was basically a one TD game folks..that crap TD at end could care less about...Iowa could have run clock but didn't. This was a very good defensive game on both sides. CJ made 2 great pass plays on long 3rd downs that decided this game
 
Armchair Offensive Coordinator Question: why didn't Mangino try rolling the pocket to see if the receivers could get some seperation? Seemed to work for Iowa.

On a seperate note, Pierson and Cotton-Moya are the real deal. Aka, Jones and Wiltz had some nice moments too.
 
We never win when we're the better team for some reason. After that second half of play ISU didn't deserve to win anything. Having said that, we probably aren't the better team.

Really tough to claim we're a better team. Not seeing it at all.

And yeah...my earlier comment was over the top but that's kind of how it is in my family. Lol.
 
While it's disappointing to lose to the 3rd weakest team on our schedule, let's face it, we have a long way to go.
Congrats Hawks.

It was 21-0 in the second hal fellas, and if not for the fumble, probably 28-0
 
Probably should have seen it coming when we couldn't run the ball against UNI. 2.4 yards per carry last week. Slightly less this week. Through two games, averaging 70 yards rushing. Arkansas only rushed for 103 against Toledo. Next week could be ugly.
 
I will acknowledge it when they get a good win but I will never in my life congratulate them. I have no kind words for them. I especially won't congratulate them when the beat us and didn't even play well.
