This is such a sad and pathetic canard it hardly deserves a response.
Never has ISU been in such a favorable situation related to the conference football landscape.
Never has ISU underachieved so badly considering enrollment, facilities, and coaching salaries.
The offense has become almost unwatchable, and certainly unentertaining.
Knowing the talent of high-level NFL players was wasted with inept coaching should anger even the casual Cyclone fan. Betraying playoff level defensive strategy and execution for years is almost worse.
Imagine simping for a man making $4million a year who is too stubborn to get out of his own way.
The average taxpayer in Iowa should be incensed at how both FBS colleges are wasting exceptional defensive play by pairing it with outdated and boring offensive play calling.
Campbell has created more goodwill in the program than most any coach. Bless his heart for that. That byes him more time for sure.
But this collapse of momentum coming off 2020 is just fuc*ing infuriating. And I don't know if we can get it back, with him.
He had college football by the nads going into 21 and pissed it away.
Took until end of last season for him to make adjustments. Jesus man, we ain't getting any younger.
Would have been nice to have a multi year run after 20. But no, because we are Iowa State ... and he has clearly stated... at Iowa State it's always about finding a way to win in the margins. Cause I guess we will never compete just playing great football with great athletes.
And I'm still tired.
