Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

Kxno this morning was all about how the refs screwed them, how the pressure on the refs is too great on the road to call a fair game, and then Ross had the balls to throw in his observations that Houston didn't get any favorable calls against ISU this week. UNREAL.
Iowa - 15 fouls
Indiana - 19 fouls

Iowa 12/18 FTs
Indiana 13/19 FTs

So, in a world where the home team often gets more calls than the visiting team, Iowa got screwed?

Maybe, just maybe, shooting 17.9% from beyond the arc was the problem, while your opponent shot 42.9% and made four more 3's than you did.

Iowa averages 10 made 3s a game. If they hit their average last night, they have an additional 15 points and hit their season average on FTs (2 more), and they take the game to OT. How about we give credit to IU for playing hard-nosed defense and forcing them into tough shots?

Ross was always and will always be a hawk homer. He and Travis both should have been fired when they said they were tempted to root for KSU over ISU in football just because some fans said some mean things about Iowa
Wow, they are that soft? That’s charmin like. Have they ever said they were tempted to root against Iowa due to negative things said about ISU?

Right it’s not like they’re South Carolina, they haven’t even win the Big10 with her
Or those dominant UConn teams, particular the ones with Breanna Stewart. You know, the one who won four national championships and four Tournament MOP awards? She was a generational talent but because she was so quiet and didn’t want the spotlight nobody really talked about her. She was the Kevin Durant in women’s college hoops. You couldn’t guard her with how long she was and her height on her release. And she could make every shot.

CC is a good player. But never won a state championship and will never win a natty. Let that sink in.
And then the question is why? "She didn't have the supporting cast." Why not? The question has been stated here many times and remains unanswered: why didn't any big portal players want to transfer in to Iowa after last year?

One game away from a NC and the best player in the game returning. Hmmm....

Stewart is probably the goat. Iowa fans can miss me with that goat talk

Doesn't shock me. I'm officially done with that biased trash show.

Yeah It's gotten real bad. This hoops season they refuse to talk about Iowa State because Iowa is terrible... Tuesday morning the majority of the Iowa State discussion was about how Houston isn't that good and that the Big 12 is allowed to play a style of basketball the rest of the conferences aren't. I was like "oh, you mean defense"?

I don't mind Ross when he's calm and the issue isn't personal to him. Always appreciated his perspective...however anything against his Hawkeyes and he's the most irrational emotional unlistenable person.

He's "unbiased" towards Iowa State as long as Iowa is the better team. Iowa is terrible this year and he has hard time seeing Iowa State doing so well.

Didn't watch last night...was it even on TV?

Did see her vs. ISU and some other game.

I'd say seeing her get in another player's face is pretty normal or not surprising.
It was on at the bar I was at.
