Iowa - 15 foulsKxno this morning was all about how the refs screwed them, how the pressure on the refs is too great on the road to call a fair game, and then Ross had the balls to throw in his observations that Houston didn't get any favorable calls against ISU this week. UNREAL.
Indiana - 19 fouls
Iowa 12/18 FTs
Indiana 13/19 FTs
So, in a world where the home team often gets more calls than the visiting team, Iowa got screwed?
Maybe, just maybe, shooting 17.9% from beyond the arc was the problem, while your opponent shot 42.9% and made four more 3's than you did.
Iowa averages 10 made 3s a game. If they hit their average last night, they have an additional 15 points and hit their season average on FTs (2 more), and they take the game to OT. How about we give credit to IU for playing hard-nosed defense and forcing them into tough shots?
