Yeah, I’m not gonna be too critical of Clark - she’s a fantastic talent and had a great overall game last night - but Brommelkamp is (as usual) completely delusional.
She takes the shot; watches it go in; turns, shouts, and flexes to the crowd (on the camera side of the court, I believe opposite of where her family was sitting, but I could be wrong); after her momentary celebration then she searches for the player she’s supposed to be guarding (definitely on the opposite side of the court).
Thinking CC would fit in better at LSU....
I used to listen to Brommelkamp on the way home from work. He was, and probably still is, really knowledgeable about baseball and I enjoyed that. He's always been a delusional homer, but otherwise he was listenable. Once he had his tantrum when he was denied press passes from Iowa State to the Sweet 16 I couldn't take him anymore. I even put up with and made it through his moaning when the Michigan State gymnastics sex assault stuff was going on and he would say he couldn't believe it because it was a Big 10 school and they are above any wrongdoing. I can't imagine how batshit he's been through the basketball season this year.
Mulkey doesn't like players who shoot 40 times a game.
I love the ISU fans have been women's basketball fans long argument.
Comparing the two is silly, CC doesn't put up 38 shots per game.
There's also not much left in the way of "local" media for the small-town kids. And the ones that do still exist can now sit at home and watch the whole thing instead of spending money to go to DSM.

My cousin who is a bandwagon CC fan started talking about the Pistol Pete record. I had to remind him Pete would have easily had a couple thousand more points with today’s rules.

No Sears has a very punchable face. I've switched to WOI for local news. They do a decent job on weather and sports. They don't pander to Iowa near as much ad 13 or 8. Not sure where Garcia came from but she actually responded to a email I sent to her about ISU coverage.
Pete only played three seasons, as well. CC could play as many as five seasons. There's no comparison on the per game average and like you said they didn't have three-pointers.
tell him if pete had played 27 more games at 42 points agame he would be around 4600 points
Sometimes for kicks when I am in the CR area, I’ll switch to Brommelkamp. He’s very boring to listen to. Outside of bowling and interviewing the former Iowa wrestler, he’s an echo chamber.
Mentioning CC and Pistol Pete in the same sentence is laughable.
