Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

Her recruiting is fine for Iowa standards and she got a generational player from the ISU area to play for the black and gold.
So... 1 good player out of 5. Good to know.

I have to admit, I'm surprised that no other players in the country transferred to Iowa this past off season to play with CC. I would have though that would have been attractive to a grad transfer or something like that.

Just heard the humility used to describe her on TV. If she had any of that more would embrace her. That’s always Ben my turn off with her. Extremely talented but not a bit humble. Breaking Pete’s record next is the biggest joke! Media won’t discuss that there was no 3 pt line and him playing 3 years, that will just get ignored and she will be on another pedestal.

There is an 8th grader in MN (Chloe Johnson) who is on the same AAU team CC was with. The head coach said this 8th grader is more talented than CC was at her age. She has an amazing story behind her with some of her anxiety she feels off the court.

The term "generational talent" given to CC may be outdated in about 5 years

Brommelkamp this morning on the radio in eastern Iowa was off his rocker.

Said there will never be another player like CC…. and that EVERYONE needs to watch what she does when she hits the 3 to set the record…. she smiles briefly, then glances up at her family quick, and then immediately finds the player she’s guarding and defends her! Says that’s just how she plays the game.

OMG…. go ahead and praise her all you want…. but don’t make up false s**t about her. She’s awful at getting back on defense. One of the worst aspects of her game.

Anyone else not even going to mess with local media today? It's almost like the local coverage feels they should get some credit for her accolades just because they cover her.

She's a generational talent, congrats to her record, but the response and how much people suck up to her is disgusting.
The bigger question is why listen to them ever.

It already may be in progress with JuJu Watkins. That girl is insanely fun to watch. She won't get Clark's scoring record because I guarantee she goes to the WNBA the minute she can.

Pete and CC can't be compared. If you are going to make that comparison, you will need to move all of CC three pointers to 2 pointers. She wouldn't even sniff Pete if that were the case. It's 2 different games at that point. Nothing to see here.

Yeah, and Jake Sullivan is an OCD mentor to her so hopefully can steer her toward Ames

Mental health issues affecting teens today are no joke. Hope she sticks with it and the game continues to be a calming presence for her.

Your first problem is that you're listening to bag of milk Brommelkamp.

I think it's great and courageous for her to be so open about her mental health issues. She has the opportunity to use basketball as a platform to help thousands of young girls who are going through the same struggles.
