Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

Last week on the local sports talk radio they were excited about the prospect of her breaking the record against the Huskers. They somehow acted as if that would be good for the Husker program. Of course around here they essentially claimed a fake national championship in football as their own when they clung onto Scott Frost's last season at UCF

Wow to get triggered that much over some small things explains a lot about how mentally weak they are and all the whining they do during games.

While I don't disagree playing sound during a freethrow is pretty lame. I can't ever remember a team playing sound effects during a college game. But to your point, I agree this is where you see some of the mental weakness come in. Excuse making at the top will inevitably trickle down.

Announcers on a local Nebraska radio station said this? If so, they should be fired.

I could understand if they said something about stopping Clark from getting that record on the Huskers' home floor, but rooting for another player from another team getting is unbelievable.

Did the arena play the sound or did a pep band student do it? From comments in X-Twitter it sounds like it was a trombone doing the wah-wah-wah after a missed free throw, so could have been live or canned through speakers.

Oh I guess I don't know. I was watching and it sounded like a sound-bite they played over the speaker, but I could be wrong.

Dang, you'd think since CC is so amazing and their GOAT I would assume she would have at least a conference title to her name.....but doesnt look good

Please remind us all with short memories about the events leading to this outburst.
Someone will have a better memory than me. But in short: we beat UNLV at JTS, but they felt like there was a penalty on the last play that didn't get called. UNLV coach refused to have his team leave the field. He even ran into the JTS locker rooms to track down the refs. His players eventually ran onto the field and started trashing the ISU logo with their cleats.

The height of hilarity was when the UNLV coach biffed it running back onto the field after trying to find the refs.

This is mostly accurate, however it wasn't a penalty. They had a desperation play on the last play that was a pass to the endzone. A pretty good play but the receiver came down out of bounds. The booth apparently looked at it and said there is nothing to see here but the coach on the hotseat made a big deal about we have review in college football and I never got a review. We had a TD at the end and they missed the call. It was a pretty good play but on review it was pretty clear that he came down out of bounds.

His hissy fit and the UNLV players dancing on the field was pretty funny. It would have been even funnier if they would have shut off the stadium lights on them.
