Why the need to have Hawk fans agree? It's triabalism. It happens in sports. We know she's a great player with drama queen tendencies. Them disagreeing doesn't change anything.

wasn't she corrected in the podcast. also had an article today from essential sports that reported how clark was able to survive an intentional foul(not called) that knocked the wind out of her and she had to be helped to the bench. not sure who does the pr for them or her but they are really good.

I just don’t understand the need from Iowa fans and media to defend anything and everything negative said about Clark. People are going to hate on her because of how she acts and because she’s great. Swoopes looks like the idiot in this situation and the Iowa people need to learn to pick and choose their battles.

I don't disagree that people are way over the top when it comes to that, but in this case with Swoopes putting false info out there as a way to discredit her and delegitimize her accomplishments, she'd better expect to get roasted. I'm guessing if the same thing happened to a beloved ISU athlete that ISU fans would do the same.

There are a number of these quote "experts" who make comments that are false or just plain stupid. I ignore most because if they were so smart why are they not getting the big bucks coaching a champion team since they are experts.

I agree. There have been a ton of ISU fans going to bat for Brock against all of the naysayers who are spewing garbage.

I don't even know what Swoopes said but I'm willing to guess it was nowhere near as bad as the lies KSU just circulated about ISU in the national media...and our fans/administrators/coaches did take swift action against the smear and you're right ISU in general was outraged.

KSU, Coach Tang and his psychotic sister made up out of thin air:
- Stealing plays from a huddle
- Racial slurs
- Throwing stuff at players

I'm not defending Swoopes or calling Iowa fans soft...but yeah horrific false info or false accusations happen. It was a pretty big national story (unfortunately since it was a false smear) but the Caitlyn bubble in local Iowa news isn't even covering Cyclone QB in the Superbowl so you may have missed it.

And those are just opinions. Imagine if one of them had said Brock only had 21 TDs to 15 INTs this year and had a regular season passing rating of only 65, which is basically the equivalent of what SS told her audience about CC.

She said CC breaking the scoring record isn't legit because it's taking her 5 years to do what Plum did in 4 years. Which is completely false, CC is in her 4th year and will likely break Plum's record in fewer games. She also said CC used her COVID year last season, also false. And she brought up Mulkey's line about CC needing to shoot 40 times a game, which has never once happened, CC actually averages fewer shots per game than SS did in college.

Look at the thread post counts of EVERY topic on this one amazing lively Cyclone board vs the totally dead no traffic conversations on the 6-7 dead Hawkeye sites.

No not all of them are just opinions. For example when he is called a check down merchant it is a moniker that is easily refuted by stats - he has the highest air yards per attempt in the league, but it keeps getting repeated ad nauseum. He also has the highest completion rate at all or nearly all of 10+ air yards, 20+ yards, 30+ yards, etc...
