Tiger is back!

When was the last time he had back-to-back good rounds? It has to have been over two years. It seems like anytime in the recent past that he would have one good round his next round would be a disaster or he would withdraw due to injury. Hopefully he can maintain this play over the weekend as well.

In his 1st round back in a "real" tournament he shot Even Par. Currently tied for 84th.

Didn't give himself many good looks at birdies today.

Sounds like his driver has been a Big issue but it’s all about making the cut and competitive rounds.

I feel like he hit one fairway, and that fairway he hit he hated the way he hit it. Pulled a matsuyama.

Wow, nice pace of play out there. Tiger just waited 23 minutes to tee off on a par three.

And windy out there.

And, ah, dose golf fan idiots. Some guy close by screamed IN THE HOLE as Woods was backstroking on a short put. Was a bad miss. Can't believe these ******** don't get ID'd and booted.

Pretty good tournament considering he was 17/56 on fairways 30.3%. That should be pretty easy to clean up. I expect some top 10's out of him but I don't know if he will break through. Great for the game when he is playing though.

Tiger is a lot like an old politician. Just keeps showing up to take all the news coverage from the next generation.

No, it won't.

Read an article in Golf Digest where several swing coaches (including Haney) were pretty impressed with Tiger's new swing, most notably how accurately he was hitting the fairway with the driver, and with some decent distance. So maybe this tournament was more of a fluke compared to what others have seen over the past few months. Time will tell I guess.

This is about the worst place on tour to drive it poorly as well. It will average about 10% less fairways hit and there's no way to get out of it because the course is long.

He's not back yet but a Top 25 on that course, this early is a good sign.
