Tickets for UNLV game

They must use at least the 100 & 200 level since the Iowa State allotment shows the majority of our seats in the 200 level. click here.
What I don’t get is how there is no 200 level availability on their season ticket site. They can’t be sold out of 200 level other than the ISU allotment right?
UNLV averages well below 20K per game for attendance and while a new stadium will increase demand/attendance, I don't see any way that they don't open up single game tickets in August since they won't sell out of season tix unless Cyclone Fans buy them all and even then the 200 level throughout the stadium should be available.

I spoke with the UNLV Ticket office a few weeks ago, they opened the 200 level in the endzone only for the Iowa State game only.
They may open more, however UNLV is still under covid protocol and hasn't lifted it yet. He said there are rumblings that the may open the upper deck on the by August. its a wait and see game...

I know it is expensive but it is the price of a good time. Nobody ever had an epic weekend in Lawerence, Kansas or Morgantown, West Virginia unless it involved their cousin, a Joe Diffie cassette, and the back of an El Camino.

Are those of you buying season tickets in the endzone or paying premium prices through the ISU Ticket Office going to be mad if they open up upper deck, midfield, lower rows in August for $90? Or happy for the other fans who will be able to take advantage of it?

Yeah, UNLV isn’t going to leave $ on the table by having a “sellout” with sections closed. Tickets will be available to meet demand.

Las Vegas Visitor and Convention people are very good at what they do, working with the Casinos to get as many people to Vega as they can. If the perception is that Cyclone fans are not coming because they can't find tickets, a phone call to the Raiders management and UNLV AD will solve the problem and open up more and more of the stadium until everyone is happy and comes and spends money in their town.

They have to open up more of the stadium or UNLV will lose out on the golden goose. If UNLV has normally 20,000+ at a game and the lower bowl that the Raiders allow them to rent is only 30,000 tickets in total, then something will change as 15-20,000 Iowa State fans want to show up. The UNLV AD will find a way to sell ISU fans tickets instead of the price of tickets getting to high, resulting in the UNLV fans selling their tickets and the AD doesn't get any more $.

It will work out!

The nickle and diming that seems to be going on here is exactly why my wife and I passed on Vegas. We had tickets to the Big 12 championship game last year but had to cancel last minute because the person who was going to watch our kids got COVID. We're saving our money for the bowl and for the Big 12 championship game, assuming we get back. People probably have had some epic times in New Orleans over new years and when we are there for the Sugar Bowl, I'll be there too.

We decided to get season tickets via UNLV. The cost wasn't that much more and I'll be able to sell the rest of the season and nearly recoup everything I spend. Already have one game sold.

Keep in mind that UNLV has no incentive to make more tickets available in the near term. We've now become that team that we used to do this kind stuff to. Remember when Pollard priced single game tickets for Nebby at $90 or made CyHawk tix only available as part of season ticket packages? Now the tables are turned.

While they would love to sell us $100 (or whatever) single game seats, if they can get people to panic and buy more expensive season tickets, they're going to do it. They will sell as many tickets as people will buy. If I'm a casual fan or scalper, I'm buying season tix and darn near breaking even just on the ISU ticket. Either sell them for a profit or attend the rest of their games for almost free.

My guess is that by July when the restrictions are officially lifted and they've maxed out season ticket sales, ISU might have their allotment increased and single game seats will become available. There are 20-30k cyclones that want to go to that game. Someone will take their money.

I'm glad you posted this. Made me stop and think just long enough to remind myself to ignore who gets a better deal etc. I'll be happy for whatever fans get to do, and even tho I bought the endzone season tickets, I have always believed that in August more tickets will be released. I guess I just wanted it done and out of the way, knowing the season ticket wasn't 'that much' more than the ISU allottment ticket. Great idea by someone that we could hopefully find a charity to give the rest of the games to so underpriviledged kids in Vegas could attend a game. (Now to find the right contact to get that done so those tickets go to the right people.)

Depends if they want to make money or not, While there's a cost to open up the upper bowl, (or atleast part of it) say 100 concession workers at 15/hour for 5 hours is a small expense to sell 2-5000 tickets in the 200 or 300 between the 30's at 200 a pop.
seems like common sense to me, minimal expense, for the opportunity to extract some good revenue. I'd pay 200 to be bewteen the 30's vs 165 to be in the lower endzone
