THT Going into the Draft

Sorry to be asking so many questions tonight, but what the **** is going on with this program right now??? I thought they turned the corner in KC and thought we had a nice core to build on for the next couple years.

Since then we've lost to the worst tournament team Ive seen in recent memory, had a coach be rumored to leave and looked like he was leaving by his demeanor in the tourney game, had exactly 1 player looked like he even cared if we won or lost that game, that same player gets kicked off the team a week later while the coach gets a 5 year extension, we have 2 guys who arent anywhere near ready declare for the draft so they can go play in front of 600 fans in the Quad Cities next year, and the game plan for all of this is to replace them with a guy ranked 396th in his recruiting class?? Not to mention our former coach taking over the most hated program in college basketball.

Excuse me for not having a complete meltdown about the future of this program right now.

Meltdown light is still a meltdown

Who is the 2nd guy that has declared for the draft?
Lard needed a change, guy was given one too many chances as it is.

I thought Kansas was the most hated program in hoops, if anything Fred is now a thorn in the side of Iowa.

UAB was the worst tournament team I have ever seen

Last time I check very few transfers out of a list of hundreds has picked a new school can we hold that complaint for another 30 days or so.

No, I honeslty havent. I did see his offer list though and I'm confused on why a guy ranked 396th and the 50th best pg is getting that kind of interest. If he was that good wouldn't he be ranked alot higher? Not trying to be mean, just asking an honest question.

You might want to check it out.

Kid committed to SDSU and his evaluation was over..hence the rating. He prob didn’t attend one camp and didn’t play for AAU circuit...makes sense his rating.

Wherever this kid signs I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t have a solid impact in a coupe years...maybe even next year.

Kid can play.

No, you were running him down and being a ****. If he's not ready for the NBA draft and the NBA, NBA people would tell him that. It's not what he's being told.

Good to know you know my intentions. How many fingers am I holding up?

One? It's usually one. Yeah I'm guessing one.

Actually, no. That’s not how I roll. Just figured since Brycee could read my mind and know my intentions that he’d also know how many fingers I’m holding up. Haven’t yet seen his response.

Ok, I will, Im going to need counseling for all this stuff that has happened the last couple weeks though. Hopefully he can bring in some solid guys to replace what we lost, if not we are in trouble next year.

If you need counseling because of the results of a college basketball season that ultimately has no bearing on your life, then you need to gain a little bit of perspective about what's important.

Doomed... Doomed I tell ya. Gonna field a team of walk-ons if we're even lucky. Prolly only half-full next year too. Fans turning back tickets in droves.

So I tried to post like you and all I can say is it's a very dark place where you reside. I'm truly sorry you are forced to live in such a negative space. I know I couldn't cope.

Also, for the record, I never ripped Prohm for going after 1 and done guys. If you read my posts you will see I said that's fine but we need to get a little better results from them in the short time they are here if he is going that route.

Duke got 3 of the best 1 and done's did not win the regular season title, won the conference tournament, and lets be honest should have lost in the 2nd round if UCF can make the easy tip in.

Should they stop recruiting 1 and done guys?
Was it a mistake to recruit Zion?

Do a lot of teams with one and done guys do much better than ISU did this year? A few blue bloods maybe, and that isn't all the time. No one and done left playing next weekend, and there were not too many playing last. Most Freshmen no matter how good they are, how much talent they have put together an amazing season. Yes there are exceptions, but its not the norm.

Im being patient with him, but if next year turns into a dumpster fire like 2017-2018 he needs to hit the road. Alot will depend on what Wigginton does and if he pulls in an grad transfers. He's had more than enough time to get his program established so another season like last year is unacceptable at this point.

Hit the road after contract extension? You serious Clark

I hate to be "that guy" and I know this will cause extreme controversy, but they beat a 12 and 13 seed in the tourney that year.

JFC that is not our problem just like the NBA drafting on potential is THTs problem. It’s called taking advantage of a situation. Auburn almost got beat in the 1st game of the tournament. Do you think their Final 4 run is diminished because they almost got beat by a 12 seed?
