A 3 seed with a sweet 16 is easily probably a top 3 or 4 season in ISU history. You can look at it as underachieving, I'll sit here and appreciate the achievement.

FWIW they were a 4 and got beat by a 1 that played one of its most complete games of the year.

I've doubted Prohm many, many times and said so on here. I'll say this, he's proven me wrong every time. Regardless, the guy is going to be our coach for a good long while. There is absolutely nothing that's going to change that. JP loves the guy. He just got a new contract. JP goes to bat for his coaches. All we can do is settle in and hope for the best. However, I think we'll definitely struggle mightily next year without Wigginton as well.

Im being patient with him, but if next year turns into a dumpster fire like 2017-2018 he needs to hit the road. Alot will depend on what Wigginton does and if he pulls in an grad transfers. He's had more than enough time to get his program established so another season like last year is unacceptable at this point.

Read the post right above, this is why I was so critical of Prohm this year, it was the culmination of as stacked of a roster that he is going to get and we went 9-9 and lost to some scrub team in the tourney.

Im really questioning where this program is heading with CSP, he should have some guys that are juniors and seniors now that were 4 year high school players. If he wants to recruite 1 and done caliber players then we better get some results from them in the short time they are here dont you think? Its either that or he needs to find some players like Monte and Niang who will be here for 4 years.

As for Prohm and the staff I hope they can find another grad transfer or that Nixon really steps up next year. "Guys leaving early" & "Guys transferring" will not be valid excuses for missing the tournament next year. Need to keep the program on the rise or fear a flash back to the McDermontt Days .

I have to admit this one shocked me.

I've always figured THT was an NBA tweener.

I don't watch a whole lot of NBA, but I've said for years that their talent assessments are ridiculous as it's always so highly skewed towards youth & potential.

I don't think Shayok will even get much of a look from the NBA due to age. Which is stupid because he seems like a focused professional, and has the tools to be a solid addition to any team.

I'm almost shocked Lard isn't declaring.

I’m not sure I would Iabel it an underachieving year. We certainly didn’t underachieve in the post-season but I think 10-8 in the conference was underachieving. We lost a lot of games (11) with a tremendously experienced club and two of the greatest Cyclones to ever wear a jersey; Niang (Sr) and Morris (Jr.) as upperclassmen.

A 3 seed? What alternate dimension do you live in? Prohm has never been a 3 seed at Iowa State.

I never said I don't appreciate him getting us to the Sweet 16, I simply stated if you grade the season as a whole it was an underachieving season overall.

I hate to be "that guy" and I know this will cause extreme controversy, but they beat a 12 and 13 seed in the tourney that year.
