THT getting some high praise...

incredible highlights from THT tonight. Nasty step back at the 35 sec. mark. Plus a pulverizing tomahawk dunk and a sick step back three later.

There aren't a lot of 20 year olds putting up games like this even in preseason.

It's not like a player getting hot from 3, the guy was doing everything from everywhere on the court.

I love when people ragged on him for going pro. He’s going to make $1.5 million this year and workout every day with Lebron and Anthony Davis. I’d say it worked out for him.
People ragged on him for going pro? I don’t really remember that. I think it was more just people not happy because the potential the team could have had it he came back.

I was wrong about THT - I thought he needed another year in college to get his game a little more polished and smooth. Glad I was wrong and happy to see him do well.

He was inconsistent while he was here, which isn't surprising for a 17/18 year old freshman, but when you got the glimpses of his topside you knew he wasn't sticking around. His measurables (wingspan etc) just screamed NBA and being as young as he was/is is another attention grabber for NBA teams.

As others have mentioned, I don't think too many of us were pissed when he left. Maybe disappointed on missing out what we could've seen here, but not mad at THT. The sooner a kid like him gets to the NBA, the quicker the clock starts ticking toward your next contract, and he's got some nice paydays coming his way if he can stay on the trajectory he's on. Good for him.

Friendly reminder we had him, Haliburton, Shayok, NWB and Wigginton, all guys who are still playing at a professional level, and we finished in the middle of the Big 12 and got punked by a bad OSU team in the first round of the tournament.

THT, Thomas and Tyrese incredible preseason games are definitely the non ISU football thing to be excited about right now.

Year after year of NBA talent, with ongoing abysmal coaching record. I just don't understand. So frustrating.

None of which played against OSU

I wish nothing but success for THT. I just wish he would have played better in his last game for us.

there's ALOT of hindsight bias in many of these viewpoints - its easy to do looking back...

all of our NBA "talent" got significantly better after they left ISU - mostly due to their own hard work.

thomas went to spain, burton went to korea, niang/morris are all time greats who needed time in the g-league, nader too.

THT had one of the strangest seasons ever for a "good/great" ISU player - he pretty much sucked at Hilton, and played so bad towards the end of the b12 tourney and in the ncaa's that he ended his career on the bench. but he was just a young kid - it happens.
