Thoughts on Kentucky Derby

Love all the horse racing and derby hate, if you don't like it don't watch it. It's the greatest SPORT in the world, casual fans have no idea about how hard and how much work goes into getting a horse ready to race. I make my living in the industry and love everyday going to work. Anyway great Derby and I haven't seen a horse I thought was more ready to take the triple crown then Orb since I started religiously following racing when Funny Cide won the Derby
He looked really good, especially for the Belmont since he looked like he had speed to give there at the end.
Looked very good today, Joel knew he had the best horse, was wide the whole race so he didnt get him in trouble. When you go that wide the whole race and can draw away from the field you have a serious horse. He skips over the track his last few races, he doesn't get tired. His action over the track in theFlorida derby was beautiful. Today it took him a little to switch leads and didn't look as great down the lane but that could have been because how sloppy the track was. His pedigree will eat up the mile and half at Belmont, if he wins the Preakness it will be an exciting few weeks leading up to the Belmont.
Fun stat about horse racing....Artax champion sprinter in 1999 who some drunk tried to punch during a race on the Preakness undercard that year was trained by a ISU alumni, Lou Albertrani. Might be the nicest guy in the world too.
