Do you notice any difference during intercorse at all? Does it hurt during? Did you suddenly start becoming more emotional or take up scrapbooking or croshay?

My wife says I need to get it done but I'm scared as hell. I will have to get a week worths of valium leading up to it.

Can you get a discount if you said Chris Williams sent me?

Re: The that have had a Vasectomy

Not a big deal and no difference after. Plus, the IV Valium they give you is awesome.

Re: The that have had a Vasectomy

Go for it and buy some frozen peas to sit on for a couple of days. No difference after surgery.

Your username and this thread = ironic.

But in a better way than that other hot topic thread going on right now. :biglaugh:

I'm signed up for Feb 26. Can't wait! :jimlad:

In all seriousness, it is the most effective and least intrusive method for contraception. It was actually my idea as the best alternative to either tube-tying or buying shares in Trojan.

Re: The that have had a Vasectomy

I don't notice a difference, except now there's no "i really hope she isn't knocked up" anxiety.

Just be sure to keep providing "samples" to the doctor twice a year. My doc said that "it can find its way and reconnect" sometimes. Rare, but it happens.

And definitely get the shot or IV drug if your doctor offers it. After about 10 seconds I thought I was a bluebird flying through wild meadows in the springtime. Wish I knew the name of the drug and where I could find some. :)

It was Valium for me and yes I could become one of those people with tracks all over my arms if I could get a hold of it.

Get it done. No issues at all

Re: The that have had a Vasectomy

Just had it done a month ago. It's ******* easy, and you don't need the valium...just the local anesthetic. The week after is a little wierd, but as mentioned...just put a bag of frozen peas on the boys and don't try to lift anything for a few days (even if you feel like you can). Stay off the feet for the first couple of days, and take it easy for about a week, and all's good.

Oh...and no performance issues that I can tell (the wife may beg to differ, but she's been dealing with that for 6 years).

A buddy of mine was so scared of this happening though, he tested the new equipment 2 days after the surgery. I wouldn't recommend this, but it worked for him.

My doctor only required two clear samples after. He has been doing the procedure for 30 years and never had a "reconnect". He tied the vas and cauterized, no swimmers getting by that roadblock. My EX wife, emphasis ex, took the nicer vehicle to work the day I got my done. Needless to say I drove myself in a crappy stick shift vehicle. Did not have any issues after the procedure but definitely milked it so I could sit around all weekend and do nothing but watch sports with plenty of beer being brought to me.

Re: The that have had a Vasectomy

It's really no big deal at all. Even if you feel better quickly, however, do not over-exert yourself. The people I know who did have problems were all guilty of this. Also, I'd have a urologist do it -- they see this stuff everyday. Don't let your family doc do it.

From what I remember, your body can create a new "path" around the tied/cauterized area.
